Our perspective

We work between the tangible and the imagined. We seek to convey the intention behind a project, the atmosphere of a space and the feeling of moving through a place before it exists.

Architecture is our starting point. We observe how light transforms a surface, how materials relate to one another and how a building meets its landscape. These questions shape images that tell a story.

We approach each commission as a conversation. We listen, explore and refine the visual language until we find a clear, thoughtful way to communicate the project. Precision and emotion belong to the same process.

We want to create images that stay with us. Images that give big ideas a presence of their own.

Osmar + Alfredo

Osmar Montalvo

Founder and Creative Director of Mamut Estudio

An architect and graduate of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), specialising in architectural visualisation, with further training at School-ing, Spain.

His work grows from a sensitivity to space, light and materiality, exploring imagery as a means of interpreting and conveying the essence of architecture. His approach combines an artistic perspective with digital tools and new technologies in design and visual representation.

He has collaborated with studios including PRODUCTORA and Módica Ledezma on residential, hospitality and exhibition design projects, developing a perspective that brings together design, technology and visual storytelling.

Alongside his practice, he shares his experience through teaching and specialist consultancy focused on optimising workflows for architecture and design studios.

Alfredo Romero

An architect and graduate of the Universidad de Xalapa, interested in the relationship between the natural environment, built spaces and everyday life.

His experience spans residential projects at different scales, from the earliest ideas through to construction supervision. He sees design as an ongoing exploration of how we inhabit places and relate to our surroundings.

Photography, drawing, painting and gardening enrich his creative perspective. Through these interests, he cultivates a particular attention to detail, proportion and the qualities of the landscape, making observation an essential part of his professional practice.

Mamut was born from a symbol that has endured through time. A reminder that every great work begins with deep roots.

From those roots, we shape our present. We use the most advanced digital visualisation tools, while remembering that no technology can replace human judgement, observation or sensitivity.
